Andover's Shumake Scores 35 Points in 97-78 Victory

’s Diop Shumake was on fire Friday night, pouring in 35 points to lead the Barons over Dearborn Advanced Tech in boys basketball.

Schumake set a school-record with 35 points in the Barons' 91-78 win. Marlon Pruitt also had a strong game with a double-double for Bloomfield Hills Andover. He had 10 points and 12 rebounds.

“It was a close game in the first quarter; we led by two, but we had a strong second quarter and were up 14 at the break,” Andover coach Jeff Rubin said.

Rubin said his team showed a lot of energy in the game and benefitted from the quick pace his guards were able to maintain. The win pushed the Barons record to 4-3 on the season.

On Tuesday, the Barons fell to Birmingham , 73-57.
