Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks Beat Notre Dame Prep 4-3

The Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks defeated the Fighting Irish from Notre Dame Prep by a final score of 4-3 in a game played Thursday at the Detroit Skating Club.  Notre Dame started the scoring at 5:04 of the first on a power play goal from Dallas Ingraham with assists to Bo Fedorak and Jack Dimefski.  Notre Dame went up 2-0 at the 4:51 mark of the second period on another power play goal from Ingraham with assists again to Fedorak and Dimefski.  It was then time for the Black Hawks to get on the board taking the lead by scoring first three goals in less than 5 minutes.  First it was Ari Sternberg on an unassisted effort at 5:05 of the second.  Captain Johnny Artemenko tied the game at 8:53 on a goal from Zack Orlandoni.  At 9:35 in the second, as Notre Dame was coming out of its own end on an offensive rush, Assistant Captain Connor Holman tipped a pass, and stole the puck for a breakaway.  After faking a wrist shot he went to the backhand and buried it upstairs for the Black Hawks third goal, and the Hawks went to the locker room after 2 with a 3-2 lead.  Notre Dame came back to tie the game in the third period at 11:20 on a goal from Dallas Ingraham his third goal of the game.  Assists went to Collin Kent , and Bo Fedorak.  Jordan Stone got the game winner for the Black Hawks at the 12:34 mark of the third period.  Credit Dominic Cappello with the game winning assist.  After the game Black Hawks Head Coach Bruce McAlister said “We are pleased with tonight’s win.  The boys need to play with a bit more consistency.  I think we scored three goals in less than 5 minutes in the 2nd but couldn’t get much offensive the rest of the game.  Once again, our penalties cost us 2 goals tonight.” The Black Hawks had 33 shots on goal while Notre Dame tallied 26.
