Bloomfield Township Housekeeper Took Out More Than the Trash: Police
New Baltimore police busted a woman for home invasion and found $13,000 in jewelry, tax returns and personal checks belonging to employer.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A woman who worked as a housekeeper for a Bloomfield Township resident stole and pawned more than $13,000 worth of jewelry, and also took the resident’s tax returns and personal checks, police said.
The jewelry and other items were discovered on April 7 by police in New Baltimore, who had arrested the woman — Stephanie Dzieszkowski, 26, of Shelby Township — in connection with a home invasion in that city, according to a news release from the Bloomfield Township Police Department.
After further investigation, Bloomfield Township detectives accused Dzieszkowski of attempting to cash a forged check on the victim’s account. The majority of the stolen jewelry were discovered at an area pawn shop, police said.
