Cranbrook House Mother's Day Tour & Lunch

Treat your mother to a special springtime tour of Cranbrook House, the oldest manor home in metro-Detroit and a National Historic Landmark. Formerly the estate of Cranbrook’s founders, George Gough Booth and Ellen Scripps Booth, the manor was designed in the Arts & Crafts Style by noted Detroit architect Albert Kahn in 1908 - the same year Anna Jarvis founded the U.S. Mother’s Day holiday.

On the tour, guests will view handcrafted furnishings, tapestries, and a selection of the Booth’s large collection of world class art. Following the tour, enjoy a box lunch and the sounds of the recently restored Steinway Piano during a lunchtime performance in Cranbrook House library.

Don’t forget your hat! In celebration of the Kentucky Derby, guests are encouraged to attend sporting their finest spring fashions. After lunch, guests are welcome to walk the estate grounds at their own leisure in search of early blooms.

Cranbrook House is located at 380 Lone Pine Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48303. Guests are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour, as it will start promptly at 10:45 am.
