Drunk, High Man Stops to Watch Pretty Flashing Lights: Police
Police said the suspect, who wasn't targeted in the traffic stop, also wanted to explain to them how reality works.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – A man who claimed to have eaten some marijuana-laced brownies and drank whiskey could have cruised merrily past a police stop last month, Bloomfield Township police said.

But instead — and despite the fact that police hadn't pulled him over — he decided to participate in a traffic stop because he liked the red and blue flashing lights on the squad car and wanted to look at them, police said.

Additionally, he asked officers if he “could explain how to make reality happen,” police said.
The reality of the situation was that the man was taken into custody after failing the field sobriety test. Bloomfield Township Police said it’s the second time the individual has been arrested for OWI in the past two years.
Charges are pending the results of a blood test.
