Bloomfield Township, MI – A 25-year-old Lapeer woman was detained after police suspected she was <a href="http://www.theoaklandpress.com/general-news/20160627/woman-suspected-of-impaired-driving-with-children-in-car" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">driving under the influence of alcohol with young children</a> in the car. According to the Oakland Press, Bloomfield Township police were sent to a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer on I-75 near Adams Road at 3 a.m. on June 18. <ul><li><a href="https://patch.com/michigan/royaloak/subscribe-patch-newsletter?utm_source=recirc_article_manual">NEWSLETTER &amp; REAL-TIME NEWS ALERTS: Get the Top Michigan Headlines from Patch Editor Beth Dalbey</a> </li></ul> Officers learned the woman was driving with an adult male passenger and two young children in the car. According to police, the children were turned over to a responsible adult family member. The woman was held until she sobered up.
