The Story: On a winter's night close to Christmas, Mama Bear, Papa Bear, and Junior Bear are snuggled in their den. Â Mama Bear and Papa Bear are trying to get Junior Bear to go to sleep and hibernate for the winter. Every time they've almost lulled him to sleep with a Bear-themed Christmas carol (e.g. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Bear Cub), he jolts out of bed to answer the doorbell. Over the course of the show, they are visited by other fairy tale characters, such as Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks, who stop by with gifts and holiday wishes. The show, written by local playwright, Jake Zinke, uses song, repetition, and child-friendly dialogue to engage the audience in this retelling of the classic tale. Â Audience participation will be encouraged!
