Avondale Community Celebrates New Athletic Fields with Ribbon-Cutting and Football Field Rededication before 7:30 pm Game
Avondale Schools is inviting the community to an Avondale family celebration to mark the completion of multiple construction projects stemming from the 2010 bond issue that implemented district-wide facility improvements.
The festivities begin at 4 pm on Friday, September 16, at Avondale High School, 2800 Waukegan Street, with food, music, giveaways, games and inflatables, and a ribbon-cutting and rededication of the new Dick Bye football field. The cost is $5 per person ($3 for senior citizens) and also includes admission to the 7:30 pm Avondale High School football game against the Ferndale Eagles.
