Karma Yoga Teacher Training

Karma Yoga is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance and a Michigan-licensed vocational school for yoga teachers. 

Classes Fridays (5-9 .m.) and Sundays (2:30-6:30 p.m.), every two weeks April 13-August 5

Upon completion of Karma Yoga Teacher Training, students receive a 200-hour, Registered Yoga Teacher training certificate (RYT).

Karma Yoga’s 200-hour Level Foundational Yoga Teacher Training focuses on Ashtanga and Karma Yoga. We begin the training with Short Form Ashtanga, and then flow into the Karma Yoga practice, our foundational class that makes yoga accessible to all levels. 

This course exceeds the curriculum requirements newly specified by Yoga Alliance in: Techniques, Teaching Methodology, Physiology, Philosophy, Ethics, Lifestyle, and Practicum, as well as Katherine’s own personal interests: study of The yoga Sutras, Chanting, Meditation, Pranayama and Introduction to Modern Ayurvedic Cooking.

Cost:

Immersion Path $2500 for those interested in deepening their practice& living yoga (includes unlimited yoga during training)

Teacher Training Path $3100 for those interested in earning their RYT certificate (includes unlimited yoga during training)

Instructor Katherine Austin, E-RYT, is the founder of Karma Yoga, a studio she opened in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, in 2003. Katherine is certified in The Khalsa Way Pre-natal yoga, Ashtanga and Vinyasa. As an instructor of yoga for more than 16 years, a Natural Meditation Technique teacher, a yoga teacher trainer registered with Yoga Alliance, workshop presenter, and leader of yoga retreats locally and internationally.  She guides her students with a unique blend of strength, compassion, consciousness and spirituality drawn from her own personal practice on and off the mat.
