Feature Photos: Dancing For Dogs At Fred Astaire Studio

More than a dozen dogs and dance fans got groovy for a good cause at the Bloomfield Township studio.

 

Dozens of dog and dance lovers helped raise $1,115 for local dog rescue efforts recently at the . While 15 dogs lazed around and played on the front lawn, instructors provided more than 40 individual dance lessons indoors to benefit the Last Day Dog Rescue, a non-profit all volunteer dog rescue mission.

The dogs were there to look at, bond with, and apply to adopt. They ranged from small puppies to full grown, loving dogs all looking for a new home.

There was also a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and food for sale. Last Day Dog Rescue collected many applications for adoption and will follow up with home visits with each of the applicants.
