Full Day of Family Fun at the Johnson Nature Center

Families took advantage of beautiful weather and enjoyed the outdoors Saturday at the Johnson Nature Center's annual fall event.

The E. L. Johnson Nature Center in Bloomfield Township has 35 acres of wilderness activities, all of which were available to the public Saturday during the center's 5th annual Family Fun Day.

Squeals could be heard from the fishing dock as children caught their own sunfish they then were responsible for releasing. Nearby, another group was busy pounding hammers to create souveneir leaf prints on fabric.

Children and adults took advantage of canoeing, fishing, composting demonstrations and bat presentations while they learned earth lessons and had fun on a picturesque fall day.
