Get Musical at Performances by the BBSO, Detroit Chamber Soloists in Bloomfield Hills

Both the Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Soloists of Detroit — including special guests — will perform at Birmingham Unitarian Church this weekend.

Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra

  • Where: Birmingham Unitarian Church
  • Cost: $22
  • Why Go: The Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra will perform a series of chamber works  with guest conductor John Thomas Dodson. Guest soloist Amy Porter will also join performances of J.S. Bach, Haydn and Corigliano.

  • Where: Birmingham Unitarian Church
  • Cost: $30
  • Why Go: Detroit-native Erik Ásgeirsson (cello) returns from Berlin with Los Angeles-born violinist Timothy Braun to perform duos by Kodaly, Hosokawa and Martinu, and Trio in d minor by Felix Mendelssohn with CSD Artistic Director, pianist Pauline Martin.
