HAVEN RECEIVES DONATION FROM OAKLAND COUNTY BAR FOUNDATION
The $15,000 donation will assist with HAVEN's existing efforts to connect clients with legal support.
HAVEN, Oakland County’s Center for the treatment and prevention of domestic violence and sexual assault, received a $15,000 donation from the Oakland County Bar Foundation, to provide a safe, confidential space for HAVEN clients to meet with court advocates and attorneys.
“When HAVEN announced their relocation to an updated facility, we knew we had a great opportunity to support a local organization that aligns directly with our mission,” said Kaveh Kashef, Oakland County Bar Foundation vice president. “We are proud and honored to play a small role in the great work HAVEN does for our community each and every day.”
The donation, made on behalf of the Oakland County Bar Foundation, will assist with HAVEN’s existing efforts to connect clients with legal support. HAVEN will now be able to offer a dedicated space in its new building for victims of domestic and sexual violence to receive legal assistance and be able to speak on sensitive legal issues in confidence.

“We are grateful to the Oakland County Bar Foundation for its generous donation to HAVEN,” said Beth Morrison, president and CEO, HAVEN. “The monies will help us further support survivors who are seeking justice in the legal system.”
