Hogan's Restaurant Closing at Month's End
The building will demolished to make room for a strip mall to be built by an undisclosed developer.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – The owner of a popular Bloomfield Township eatery, Hogan’s restaurant, will close on on Jan. 31.

Rick Bochenek, 49, has worked at Hogan’s and its previous iteration at the corner of Telegraph and Maple roads for most of his life.

“It was time,” Bochenek told The Oakland Press. “I got a great offer.”
The restaurant building will be demolished to make room for a strip mall. Bochenek did not disclose the buyer’s name.

Bochenek’s father bought the restaurant in 1961, and it was transformed into Hogan’s, a neighborhood bar and restaurant, in 1974.
Customers who have gift certificates should use them before Jan. 31, Bochenek said.
