UPDATED: Lahser Girls Are Cross Country League Champions
The Knights, led by seniors Elena Miller and Alana O'Mara, took the OAA White Jamboree at Oakland University.
The Lahser High School girls varsity cross country team won the OAA White Division title this season behind a strong performance in the division Jamboree #3 Championships at Oakland University over the weekend.
The team scored 35 points, and had four girls earn all-league honors in the top 15, Coach Nick Stration said. Led by seniors Elena Miller (2nd overall) and Alana O'Mara (3rd), the team ran away with the school's first league title since 1995.

"The girls have been competitive in all the meets this year," Stration said while lauding the efforts of Miller, O'Mara, and fellow co-captains Laura Baenen and Abby May. "There has been considerable improvements from the majority of the team this year."

Also earning all-league honors were Christina Arens (5th) and Mara Gueli (9th). The #5 - #8 runners were: Bess Pelton (16th), Olivia Keener (18th), Marie Baenen (26th) and Lauren Redman (27th).
The girls junior varsity team also scored 29 points to win the meet by sweeeping the first three places: Jessie Dahm (1st), Addie Koerner (2nd) and Kali Smith (3rd).
The MHSAA Regionials begin Friday.
