Lahser Staff Changes for 2012 School Year
See who's new, who's moved up and who's moved on for the final year of Lahser High School.

Change was inevitable this year for the staff and students at as the school distrct plans for the merger to the new Bloomfield Hills High School in 2013. But there were significant changes in personnel over the summer that really begin to take hold today with the start of classes.
Most notably, Christine DiPilato, associate principal for the past four years, was recently named Director of Learning Services at the District level. She replaces Ed Bratzlaff, .

"Ms. DiPilato did an outstanding job over the last four years not only overseeing our master schedule but also worked with teachers to design many successful programs and interventions to help students," Principal Charlie Hollerith wrote in a recent email. "Her skills, knowledge and creativity will be sorely missed at the building level but her new role will allow her to support teaching and learning K-12."
Hollerith named Margaret Schultz, Lahser Math teacher and department head, to fill the associate principal role.

Other personnel changes Hollerith announced:
Stephanie Bevier (Media Center): Bevier, the Andover Media Center Specialist for several years assumes media specialist responsibilities at both Lahser and Andover this year.
Nicole Mackinder (Spanish): Mackinder comes to Lahser from Marysville High School and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
Mr. David Rowell (Biology): Rowell filled in for Ms. DeLuca last spring and will continue do the same this year. He received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University.
Ms. Meredith Riggan (English): Riggan joins Lahser from Father Gabriel Richard High School in Ann Arbor where she taught English and was Junior class advisor. She graduated from the University of Michigan.
Sarah Lyon (English): Lyon joins Lahser via International Academy West. She also was an online mentor tutor (part-time) through Oakland Schools and is a graduate from Grand Valley State University where she majored in English and History.
Elizabeth Allen (Attendance Secretary): Ms. Allen comes to us from Mt. Clemens High School where she worked in both the Attendance and Counseling offices. She has over ten years of school office experience and replaces Ms. Kim Friend, who retired.
Jodi Kramer (Media Center Para Educator): Ms. Kramer will join the Media Center staff by way of East Hills where she worked in the Academic Resource room.
Laurie Mezey: joins Lahser from the CRC to take the place of long-time main office secretary Sue Hertle, who retired and moved to Florida.
