Marian-Rice Players Production of "Leaving Iowa"

The Marian-Rice Players Presents "Leaving Iowa," a family comedy which first premiered at Jeff Daniels' Purple Rose Theatre.

Remember those family vacations you tried to forget? Full of laughs and reminiscences, the Marian-Rice Players takes you on the ultimate, classic family road trip in a hysterically funny production of Leaving Iowa, which first premiered in 2004 at Jeff Daniels’ Purple Rose Theatre.

Writer Tim Clue explains, “Leaving Iowa is a postcard to anyone who has ever found themselves driving alone on a road, revisiting fond memories of their youth.” Packed with rollicking good humor, this celebration of family reminds us that sometimes the journey is more important than the destination.
