Michigan Postcard: Tigers Top Yankees
The excitement built through the week and erupted Thursday night after the Tigers beat the Yanks to advance to the ALCS against the Rangers.

What do you do when the Tigers win the final game in a series against the New York Yankees? You dance, you high-five, you have a rip-roaring time. This scene played out all over Metro Detroit on Thursday, as the Detroit Tigers topped the New York Yankees 3-2 to advance to the ALCS.
In today's Michigan Postcard, former Detroiter Rich Sanchez, now of Tecumseh, Ontario, does a little dance, while Mark Conforzi, of Bloomfield (center), and Wayne Lupo of Troy slap hands to celebrate the victory. They were watching the Tigers-Yankees game at in Troy.
