On the Agenda: BHSD To Appoint Newest Member to School Board
Ten candidates completed applications to replace Kate Pettersen, who is moving from the district.

The Bloomfield Hills Schools Board of Education has a series of meetings today beginning with a 5 p.m. closed session to discuss collective bargaining strategy at the Doyle Center for Professional Development, 7275 Wing Lake Rd.
The board will then convene for a special meeting at 6 p.m. to appoint a new member to replace Kate Pettersen, who resigned last month to prepare her family to move to Colorado.

The board reviewed 10 applications received before the Nov. 10 deadline and conducted interviews earlier this week.

Board members are expected to select the new trustee its regularly scheduled meeting tonight at 7 p.m. The appointee will take the oath of office at a special meeting at 6 p.m. Friday, also at the Doyle Center.
Also on tonight's agenda:
- Superintendent Rob Glass will give an update on the district strategic plan.
- Board members will recieve a report on Sinking Fund planning and the proposed projects for 2012.
- The board will consider approving a world languages graduation requirement.
