Orchard Lake St. Mary's Cross Country Team Improving

Head Coach Mark Le Fevre believes the boys squad can take steps forward this year.

Things are looking up this fall for the Eaglets boys cross country team.

Head coach Mark Le Fevre thinks his squad can take a big step forward this season.

“We’ve been training real hard and preparing for what we’re hoping is going to be a very rewarding year,” he said. “I know we’re going to be better than we were last season because I’ve already witnessed the improvement first-hand.”

Steve Zorc, expected to be the Eaglets top runner, is a genuine sleeper in the area’s cross country scene, having not come out for the team last fall. Chris Koskie is another talented runner running for St. Mary’s in 2011 to keep an eye out for.

The team will have a true test competing Saturday at the West Bloomfield and Brother Rice Invitational at Kensington Metro Park.
