I'm 65 and my wife is 64. Although we have over 100 feet of driveway, we frequently shovel our own snow both to save some money and get some exercise. Frequently, after we're done, the township snowplows come by one last time and bury the entrance with a couple of feet of heavy, wet snow. If I don't dig it out right away, it freezes solid and has to be chipped away with an ax. When, on rare occasions, the drivers don't plow curb to curb, that doesn't happen, but some plow drivers seem to delight in seeing how close they can come to taking out mailboxes. Perhaps they also enjoy the thought that some old curmudgeon is going to have to dig his way out. It's not good; it's not helpful. It's inconsiderate of township residences.
