Salute America! Celebrating Lighthouse of Oakland County

Tickets are on sale for the coveted Salute America! event supporting the self-sufficiency programs of Lighthouse of Oakland County.

Salute America! presented by Beaumont & Conway MacKenzie

Honoring Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy for her leadership championing resolution for victims of sexual assault, elder abuse and other crimes, the event is a gala fundraiser at Oakland Hills Country Club Friday, June 24. In addition, Drs. Harris and Phoebe Mainster of Bloomfield Hills for their work on 42 medical missions in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe.

Salute America! celebrates the great American concept of philanthropy and honors those who have championed help for vulnerable people in need.

The event includes dinner, entertainment by the Royal Oak High School Jazz Combo and Carl Pesta and the Corey Kendrick Quartet, a live and silent auction and your host, WJR 760AM Reporter and Anchor Marie Osborne. Honorary Co-Chairs are Maggie Allesee and Juliette Okotie-Eboh. Event Co-Chairs are Sue Nine and Laura Light. A client from Lighthouse of Oakland County's PATH program will also share her story.

Why: Lighthouse of Oakland County helps more than 11,000 individuals move from crisis towards self-sufficiency each year. This is accomplished through its food pantry and crisis resolution and workforce development programs -- and through PATH -- which is a long-term program helping homeless women and their children through transitional and supportive housing, daycare, job coaching, skill-building and financial literacy.
