BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — U.S. Sen. “There’s nothing better than seeing Michigan’s gorgeous scenery by motorcycle, and I’m excited to kick off this tour that will take me from Michigan’s beautiful lakeshores to our fertile farmlands,” Peters said in a statement. “In the Senate, I want to ensure that I am representing every county in our state, and this tour will allow me to hear directly from constituents and talk with them about how we can support Michigan small businesses and grow our economy in every community.”

Peters, a former lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve, will also meet with local veterans and stop at Camp Grayling and Wolverine Worldwide, which makes footwear for the U.S. military.

“I’m focused on strengthening Michigan’s critical military installations and supporting the brave men and women in uniform, who put their lives on the line to protect our country,” Peters said. “I’m looking forward to meeting with Michigan servicemembers and veterans to discuss how we can continue to grow Michigan’s role as a hub for the defense industry and provide the right care and assistance to help our veterans transition to civilian life.”
