Speed, Alcohol Likely Factors in Fatal Bloomfield Twp. Accident: Police
An Ortonville man was killed and a West Bloomfield woman was injured in Saturday accident.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – A 24-year-old Ortonville man is dead and his passenger, a 22-year-old West Bloomfield woman, was injured in a weekend accident, Bloomfield Township Police said.
The 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee left the roadway crashed into a tree about 9:52 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, as it traveled eastbound on Long Lake from Telegraph, according to a news release.
Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital, where the driver was pronounced dead. The passenger is hospitalized in stable condition, police said.

Sgt. Kim Comerford, of the Bloomfield Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit, said in the release that “alcohol and speed appear to be factors” in the accident.
