Big play: James Ross, the Eaglets' senior linebacker, made several key tackles to help keep Brother Rice in single digits on the scoreboard. But it was senior wide receiver Christopher Woolen's game-winning touchdown reception in overtime, and senior kicker Nathan Parry's extra point, that sealed the St. Mary's victory Oct. 1.

Down 9-3, Woolen caught the ball from quarterback Dan Clements on third-and-goal from the 17 in a downpour.

The impact: The disappointing loss was the second consecutive overtime defeat by just a point for the Warriors. It also started a three-game losing streak that jeopardized thoughts of a playoff appearance and getting head coach Al Fracassa his 400th victory.
