An Oakland County bar manager may owe her life to a faulty gun.
A suspect pulled the trigger twice in an armed robbery at a Pontiac bar Wednesday, but the gun misfired, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.

The sheriff’s office released surveillance video of the robbery and asked for the public’s help in identifying a man who forced his way into Bob and Elmer’s Bar in Pontiac just after 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 and got away with $1,200.
A reward is being offered.

According to the report, he pointed the gun at the victim and ordered her to open the safe.
“He pulled the trigger twice, but the gun misfired,” the sheriff’s office said.
A K-9 unit was deployed, established a track, but lost it a distance away.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male who appeared to have a beard and was in his mid 30s. He was wearing a green North Face-brand jacket.
The investigation is continuing.
