Achievement: Reddy was one of just about 700 students around the country to ace the ACT this year. He also and is currently doing research in the endocrinology department at in bones and minerals.

Key to Awesomeness: Reddy said he was always a fan of math and read books habitually as a child. He said he attacked the ACT in sections, practicing and preparing answers for each part separately so that he could become comfortable with the entire test when it counted.

"When I saw my score online, I was shocked; I never thought I would actually get a 36," he recalled. "But it definitely means a great honor to be put in the same group as many extremely smart kids around the country."

He offered his classmates and future students this advice:

"Whatever you do, you should work hard at and be the best that you can be; this way you will always be satisfied with yourself," he said. "Whether it's sports, academics, or music, I have always tried to do just that."

What's Next?: Reddy said he will continue his work with Henry Ford Hospital over the summer and begin applying to colleges. He said he plans to go into bioengineering or economics and has his eyes on Stanford, Princeton, and the University of Michigan.
