Will 'Fashionista Daddy' Make an Appearance at Super Bowl XLVII?

Lahser High School graduate Nate Daniels and the team behind last year's Doritos commercial winner is back with a new ad.

Last year, he helped bring 'sling baby' into the Super Bowl vernacular by producing a finalist in the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl Contest that left viewers laughing, and talking about the 38-second commercial on social media for weeks. This year, Lahser High School graduate Nate Daniels is back at it with another attempt to win the $1 million prize.

The latest creation, called "Fashionista Daddy," depicts a father's love for his daughter — and Doritos, and had more than 462,500 views on YouTube.com as of Thursday afternoon. Online voting through the commercial's Facebook page ended Tuesday, and the winner won't be unveiled until the Doritos commercial airs at some point during Sunday's big game.

Daniels, a 2003 LHS graduate who attended Michigan State University, ran the social media campaign for last year's winning entry, and has the same task this year to try and help the same team repeat, according to thealistdaily.com. The Bloomfield Hills native now calls Culver City, Calif. home and is a social media strategist with Ayzenberg.

And if you liked the commercial, you won't want to miss the behind-the-scenes peek offered by director Mark Freiburger. He said the entire spot, which some companies are reportedly paying close to $4 million to fill just 30 seconds, cost only $300 to make.
