BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – A 20-year-old woman told Bloomfield Township police that a man approached her in the shopping center parking lot at Square Lake Road and Woodward Avenue about 1:45 p.m. Thursday, asked her if she wanted to make $100,000 and then attempted to abduct her.

Police said the suspect, a black male between 40 and 50 years old, tried to force open the driver side door as the victim parked near the QDOBA restaurant, and became more aggressive and tried to forcibly pull the woman from her vehicle when she refused the offer for money.

She was able to resist and remained in her vehicle, and the suspect ran to a red full-sized panel van and left the parking lot, police said.

The victim went inside the restaurant, where she was attended to by management. A few minutes, the suspect returned, entered the restaurant and approached a second female waiting in line, then tried to lure her outside. She refused, too, and the suspect was last seen leaving the area in the red van, police said.
