A Book Club read for the entire state of Michigan, "Annie's Ghosts"

It's here!! With some delay in shipment due to overwhelming demand, the 2013-2014 Great Michigan Read has arrived at Brighton Barnes & Noble. This title has been presented by the Michigan Humanities Council, "A book club for the entire state."

About Annie's Ghosts: Washington Post associate editor Steve Luxenberg is a master of investigative journalism. The editor of two Pulitzer Prize-winning series, Luxenberg has written his most compelling story: his exploration of his late mother's secret.
Beth Luxenberg always claimed to be an only child, but a chance mention led to the discovery that she had been hiding the existence of a sister, Annie. The girls had grown up together, living ina seires of cramped apartments until Annie's commitment to a mental institution at the age of twenty-one.

Every family has secrets, but Luxenberg's story is unique. It's a real life story based out of Detroit, Michigan.
