The third annual Brighton Mom Prom had another successful year last friday night at the American Spirit Centre in Brighton. The annual event for women, put on by Team Mackenzie, was attended by nearly 100 women and raised about $3,000 for the American Diabetes Association. Team Mackenzie rides in the Tour de Cure, an annual family oriented bicycle ride that starts in Brighton. This years ride is on June 15. Over the past two years Team Mackenzie has raised more than $25,000 for the ADA. Mom Prom is their biggest (and most fun) fundraising event. Mom Prom is just a fun night out for women from 20-100 years old who love to dance and have fun with their friends...it's a fun and easy way to raise money for a very important organization. The ADA supports awareness and education programs, support for people living with all types of diabetes and funds incredible research.
