Nominate a Nurse you know for a prestigious Nightingale Award from Oakland University

Know a nurse who deserves special recognition? Nominations are being accepted for Oakland University's School of Nursing’s 25th Annual Nightingale Awards for Nursing Excellence

Here is your chance to show the special nurse who made a difference in your life or the life of a loved one how much he or she meant to you.

Did her impeccable care make your hospital stay more pleasant? Did he ensure that you were kept apprised of your treatment options? Or perhaps she was like last year’s People’s Choice category winner, Norma Spryszak, oncology nurse, who not only developed a comfort cart of CDs and DVDs for patients to enjoy as they received chemotherapy treatments, but also demonstrated compassion as she held and read to a young child so her father could spend the last few minutes of his wife’s life with her in her room.
