Next October, Brighton High School will officially have a band new pool waiting to be used. The plan is to have the 2016 girls swim team celebrate their senior night in the new facility.
The bleachers for the new pool have already been deposited into the building. They have also finished both the showers and bathroom’s plumbing.
“The pouring of the basing for the pool will start on March 23, after that happens the construction should pick up pace,” principal Henry Vecchioni said.
After the pool’s construction starts to speed up, the next step is taking the old pool and renovating it into a fitness center.
Administrators and students cannot wait to enjoy the new facility that will be operating, and open to the public as well, next year.
