BHS hosts annual Lip Dub
BHS recorded its third annual Lip Dub last month, showing off its clubs and sports teams. The lip dub is posted on youtube.
A Lip Dub is a type of music video that combines lip synching and audio dubbing to make a music video. Brighton High School has made a lip dub for the last three years to help promote clubs, sport teams, and most importantly, help promote our school. This years’ lip dub will be hosted on the twenty first of april, during third hour.
Brightons lip dub will feature club leaders and team captains lip synching various hit songs. The music video will take a tour of BHS showing off clubs and sports to raise awareness for the school.
The lip dub will feature each sport team and club represented by a pair of members. Each club will get a verse of a hit song chosen by BHS leadership. The camera will follow a tour through BHS, giving it a chance to show off all of its beauty.
¨The purpose of the lip dub is to show off to the world the immense spirit and talent we have within the walls of Brighton High School. It shows off all of the clubs, organizations, and sports teams we have within the school as well as the amazing students,¨ Senior Tommy Hill said.
This years Lip Dub is being ran by BHS leadership and the Junior exec board, sure to be a hit. The students love participating in the Lip Dub and the opportunity to show off our school.
“It is honestly sweet, promoting our school is amazing, and also we get to skip third hour every year, so that’s pretty neat,” Senior Ryan Misiak said.
The lip dub is something BHS has done for three years now, and it has become extremely successful, gaining more than ninety-four thousand views.
“A few years back, an Executive board member saw another school's Lip Dub on YouTube and they decided to give it a try at our school. Thus the BHS Lip Dub was formed,” Hill said.
It’s a good thing they did, the lip dub has been viewed by a national audience and has more than accomplished it’s original goal of gaining awareness to Brighton High School.
The Lip Dub is a great way to raise awareness for our school and a great way to show off the talent we have right here in these halls. The lip dub will be carried on through upcoming years and can only go up from here.
