Brighton and Hartland Residents Take Part in Balloonfest

Balloonfest job: He is the co-chair of site operations for the entire event.

Duties: Handles problems, electrical hook-ups, works with community and vendors to develop event

Favorite events at Balloonfest: Balloon Glow on Saturday, the sky divers, kite acts and fireworks

Name: Phil Glebe

Where he's from: Brighton

Balloonfest job: He is flying the WHMI Balloon

How long he's flown balloons: 35 years, including all 27 years that Balloonfest has been running. He said he has won the competition once, as well.

Favorite event at Balloonfest: He enjoys all the families that come out and have fun, and has enjoyed seeing the festival grow over the years since its beginning.
