Brighton Football Rolls to playoffs

Brighton Football is going to the playoffs for the second year in a row.

The Brighton Bulldogs Football team has a record of 7-2 and they are playoff bound. Finding chemistry shows their great team bonding and work ethic. Coach Brian Lemons and Tim Szegda are proud of their boys after all the hard work and practice they've been putting in. Their hard work appears to be paying off.
“The school sure is impressed with the product from the team,” Junior Chase Langenderfer said.
Team Captains Luke Helwing, Connor Cain, and Brennan Russell have been doing their job of leading the team. The team's winning continues game after game.
“The boys deserve all the credit... they prepare so hard for each opponent. Our streak is based on hard work and good timing,” Coach Lemons said.

After losing senior Running back, Joey Clifford, and many other talented seniors there were questions on how well the boys were going to play this year.
“Just like many others, I didn't think we'd be where we are at, we lost a lot of big talent and everyone working together as a team has made up for it, ” right tackle Andrew Meyer said.
Lemons is impressed with how far the team has come.
“I’m certainly happy with the progress our team has made since the start of the season. I knew coming in that there was a lot of potential,” Lemons said.
Each week there is a different player stepping up and making crucial plays. Junior, receiver/ kicker, Rudy Ramirez game winning kick against Grand Blanc is an example that the Dogs won't back down.
“We've had a lot of guys step up each week. The question is whose turn is it next? Guys like Helwing, Johnson, Rudy, Aigner, and Tullar have been doing it all year. Can't wait to see who's next,” Lemons said.

The Dogs will play Novi (5-4) in the first round, should they win, they would play the winner of Howell (6-3) vs. Catholic Central (9-0).
