A 31-year-old Brighton man could be arraigned as early as Monday on charges he fatally stabbed his ex-girlfriend in her Taylor apartment.
Summer Lynn Faulkner, 22, was killed in the 10:30 p.m. incident Friday, according to a news release issued by Taylor Police. She died just a couple of weeks after she and her sister moved into the Taylor Park Town Homes, neighbor Shanae Clark, 26 said today.

“It’s sad, very sad,” said Clark, who said she noticed the two women move in but didn’t know them. She said their part of the complex, which is located behind the City of Taylor’s Cameron G. Priebe Municipal Plaza, is typically “really, really quiet.”
“I haven’t had any problems since I lived here,” said Clark, a two-year resident.

Faulkner’s sister called 911 to say the ex-boyfriend had entered the apartment and stabbed Summer Faulkner, according to police. Summer Faulkner was found dead at the scene.
The suspect is in custody in Taylor after surrendering early Saturday morning at the Fenton Police Department. A warrant request is expected to be submitted to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday. The suspect could be arraigned as early as 10:30 a.m. or as late as 2:30 p.m. MondayTaylor Police Sgt.
