Donation Page Created for Brighton Man in Critical Condition After Crash

After a serious car accident left Tomas Orndorf in critical condition, the family is thanking the community for their support of the young man they call a "talented and passionate clown with a bright and creative mind."  

Orndorf, 24, who once ate 32 hotdogs in 20 minutes, remains in a coma after a Nov. 9 accident in which he was driving east on Brighton Rd. around 3 a.m. when he lost control of his car, veered off the road and hit several trees.

According to a report from WHMI, Orndorf was trapped in his car and had to be extracted by Brighton firefighters where he was then transported by helicopter to the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor.

His mother, Mary Jo, other family members are ready to help in any way they can.

While Orndorf remains in critical condition, brother Nathan Brugnone said they were getting good news in "small doses" and created a donation page after receiving many calls from concerned community members asking how they could help.

"As he nears the path to the road of recovery, we have more questions than answers," the donation page reads. "While we all cannot fit in his hospital room, we can all have a place in his rehabilitation."
