We will be working as a group, as well as working in teams of two or three. The group(s) can meet at the Brighton Public Library one or two nights a week from 7pm until 8pm-ish, longer if needed. Smaller groups can meet as often and at a location comfortable for them. This is the first time trying this exercise locally- Grief Recovery Handbook - the Action Program for Moving beyond Death, Divorce, and Other Losses

Although we can easily find a group that are teaching CPR or on Parenting there are very few classes out there on healing a broken heart. Grief is normal and it's often misunderstood. Grievers are not emotionally weak. Grief is not intellectual. Grief is not a mental disability or clinical depression.
Misinformation is passed down from generation to generation. People use what they know to try and help. Although well intentioned, it's rarely helpful. What they are taught is that being sad is unacceptable and emotional problems should be solved intellectually. Remembering that Feelings are normal and natural & Grief is emotional not intellectual - I am looking for other adults interested in going through a grief recovery exercise.
Almost every one you know is suffering from some type of grief. Grief is something that we are never taught to “process through and recover from”. All of our relationships are affected by grief in one way or another. Everything we do is affected by grief. …After trying every kind of system that was available to help in dealing with grief, after many hours of professional grief counseling, and after much reading and searching I found a different kind of approach to solving the problem of grief. But I need the help of a couple / few others in my situation. Could you or anyone you know benefit from an alternative way to survive GRIEF??

The handbook for this exercise is around $10.00 at Barnes and Noble if we buy them as a group and will have to be ordered. I will need to get the handbook money at least one week before the official exercise begins.
