Discover how using a flame and the art of lampworking techniques can make ugly glass beautiful. Annmarie is a successful glass artist (Lampwork) and entrepreneur and will both entertain and amaze the audience with a live ‘hot’ glass working demonstration creating sculptural beads. See her use glass rods that might not be visually appealing as she turns them into beautiful works of art. The Brighton Art Guild’s monthly speaker program opens with a brief Guild update by the President followed by 15 minutes of networking/mingling with the artists/light refreshments. The monthly program takes place on the 1st Wednesday of the month, 6:30pm at the Brighton District Library. The program is open to the general public and provided as a community service at no charge to attendees.
