Wendy Ward, former owner of Wendy’s Simple Stitches in Howell, has been diagnosed with a brainstem brain tumor. Her surgery will take place in Boston and will require her to remain in Boston for a period of time after release from the hospital. Medical expenses, traveling to Boston and the extended stay will cost them many, many, thousands of dollars over and above insurance coverage.
