Introduction to Tracking and Awareness — For Individuals and Families

Tracking animals helps us unlock the secrets of the animals we follow. In turn, we become more aware of our own place in nature and the world. Come join us at Proud Lake Recreation Area for an adventure into the landscape of the woods and begin to learn the language of signs and tracks that are written upon the earth. We will walk in the woods and begin looking at sign tracking, transition areas, runs and trails. We also will touch on gait patterns and track identification. This is for everyone, from the child who loves to solve mysteries to the hunter to the average nature love that would like the freedom to venture a bit further off the trail. Dress for being outdoors. Class is limited to 15, so register early.

Cost: $14 for individuals, $29 for family up to five.

A state park recreation passport for $10 (yearly) is reqired and is available onsite.
