A workday to removed invasive shrubs in the Island Lake recreation Area runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7.
Volunteers should meet at the Riverbend Picnic Area parking lot at 12950 Grand River Road, south of I-96 near Kensington Road in Green Oak Township. Waterproof boots are recommended for this site. Knee-high rubber boots will be available upon request
