Jamie Vollmer, Author of Schools Cannot Do It Alone

Jamie Vollmer, award-winning advocate of public education and author of the highly-acclaimed book, Schools Cannot Do It Alone, will give two presentations open to the community.

The first presentation is slated for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31 at the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts, 7878 Brighton Road. The second event takes place in the Howell High School Auditorium, 1200 W. Grand River, Howell, at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1.

Once a harsh critic, Vollmer is now an articulate champion of America’s public schools. Over the last 20 years, he has worked with hundreds of school districts, chambers of commerce, education associations and foundations.
