Library Offers Microsoft Access Classes

Brighton District Library offers Microsoft Access I and II this August ... free of charge.

Microsoft Access I class takes place from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, August 11 at the Brighton District Library. This course teaches Microsoft Access, version 2007/10. Access is a database manager that allows for the saving of records such as customers, employees or inventory. The course covers creating a database, entering records, using forms, generating reports, and creating mailing labels. Basic computer experience is recommended.

Microsoft Access II runs from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, August 18.

Part II emphasizes the creating and saving of queries which allow for the retrieving of specific data from the Access database. Queries for updating records and deleting records are also covered. Additionally, merging Access records into MS Word for printing envelopes and form letters is done. Basic computer experience is recommended.

Registration for Microsoft Access I begins July 28; registration for Microsoft Access II begins August 4.
