In conjunction with Mental Illness Awareness Week, NAMI of Livingston County presents Family Day starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at the First United Methodist Church, 400 E. Grand River, Brighton.
The keynote speaker is local author Peter Pascaris, who will tell his story of one couple's resolve to overcome mental illness and build a balanced and joyful marriage.
Six workshops are offered; the event is free and all are welcome. A free breakfast and lunch are included.
