Photography 101
Don’t worry about not having a “fancy” camera - this class is for people with”point & shoot” cameras and for people who want to learn the basics of their DSLR camera. (We won’t be getting into f-stops or shutter speeds in this class).
Each of the three sessions of this class will have two parts.

The first will focus (pun intended) on getting familiar with your camera, i.e. what those little symbols are (they’re shooting modes) and when to use which one, various methods of focus, what happens when you take your camera off automatic white balance, what is ISO and when you would want to change it, when to use your flash and when not to (and how to turn it off and on), exposure compensation and lots of other things to help you get the most out of your camera.
The second part of each session will discuss composition and tips for taking various types of photos, such as people, pets & portraits, landscapes and still-lives.

There are extensive hand-outs for you to review what we cover in class, and there will be homework assignments -
so you can practice what you learn and we’ll review what you take at the next session.
This is a three-session class, each session runs about 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hours and the cost for the three-sessions is $75, plus a $5 material fee.
