Brighton State Recreation Area hosts the 2011 All Nations Veterans Council's "Teaching our Traditions" Pow-Wow May 21-22.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to dusk on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, and features Native American dancing, music, crafts, dress ceremonies, two Grand Entry parades each day and various other Native American events. Native American food vendors will also be on-site.
Cost to attend the Pow-Wow is $5 for adults and children over 12; $3 for seniors and children 12 years old or younger; children younger than five are admitted free of charge. All events will take place at the Three Fires Group Organizational Campground inside the park.
