RetakeOurGov will be hosting a panel discussion regarding Michigan’s recently enacted Freedom to Work legislation. This legislation prevents employees from being forced to join a union as a condition of employment. Representatives from Hillsdale College, the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, Union Conservatives, and Americans for Prosperity will be discussing various dimensions of this historic legislation. This panel discussion will be held on March 12, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, at Memories Restaurant, 1840 S. Old US 23, Brighton, Michigan. - Terry Bowman, President/Founder of Union Conservatives discusses the personal side of what this legislation means for union members.

- An invitation has also been extended to a representative from the Roscommon Teachers Association to speak at this event. Late last year, by nearly a 2-1 margin, Roscommon teachers broke away from the MEA and formed their own union. This provided them with local representation along with some services at about one-half the cost.
