St. Patrick School Open House

St. Patrick School in Brighton will hold their annual Open House from 1 p.m.-3 pm Sunday, Jan. 30. The popular event is attended by prospective families looking for enrollment information for the 2011-12 school year and also by interested community members.  Teachers and administrative staff will be on hand to answer questions during formal tours or as guests simply walk through the school on their own.

St. Patrick’s Open House kicks off “Catholic Schools Week” across the United States.  This year’s national theme is A+ for America – Catholic Schools and will focus on the benefits of a Catholic education helping to strengthen our nation’s future.  St. Patrick School students participate in many community projects including Gleaner’s Food Drives, Adopt-A-Family, penny drives and comfort kits for the Red Cross, R.E.A.C.H. shelters for the homeless, Letters to Our Troops, and many other charitable and patriotic causes.

“We’re excited about our Open House this year and are expecting record attendance,” said Jim Connor, Chairman of the School Advisory Committee.  “This is our fifth year in the new building and we’re excited to show people our up-to-date classrooms, science and computer labs, art room, music room, and gymnasium.  It’s a great chance to visit with our teachers, talk to parents and students and get a first hand feel for the family we’ve built at St. Pat’s.”
